Barnes & Noble says NOOK Tablet is fastest selling NOOK ever

Barnes & Noble released its quarterly earnings report earlier this week, and while much of the report was not very positive, thanks to the continued decline of physical book sales, the company claimed that its NOOK business had soared tremendously. In fact Barnes & Noble says that NOOK is now worth $220 million in quarterly sales, an 85 percent increase over the previous quarter. The new NOOK Tablet, which hit shelves in November, is said to be the fastest selling NOOK product in the division's short history. Barnes & Noble says that it intends to sell millions of NOOK devices in the third fiscal quarter, which covers the majority of the holiday shopping season.

The Nitro can even record 720p HD video with its forward facing 1.2 megapixel camera, and comes equipped with LG's user interface running on top of the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread OS.

U.S. Judge denies Apple an injunction against Samsung's tablets, smartphones

Late Friday U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh denied Apple's request that a preliminary injunction be imposed on Samsung that would prevent it from selling three of its Android-powered smartphone models as well as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet.
